Recipe Suggestions

Some great uses for Wannabee Farms Hickory Smoked Canola Oil

Smoked Chicken Salad – add a few drops to your favorite recipe. People will think you slow smoked the chicken for hours.

Brick Oven Pizza – brush on a pizza crust to give a wood fired flavor.

Cured Salmon – drizzle some on cured salmon for a cold smoked experience.

Chicken & Sausage Rice Pilaf – add some to a classic Southern dish.

Smoked sauces for chicken wings – add some to any of your favorite wings sauces whether honey mustard, BBQ, or other favorite "house" wing sauces.

Grilled Steaks or Pork Chops – either rub down before cooking or sprinkle oil on as you finish cooking for a real wood fired flavor.

Broiled / baked seafood – use on fresh seafood when oven roasting for a grilled flavor.

Roasted vegetables – sautι or oven bake fresh vegetables with our oil for a fire roasted flavor.

Smoked Aioli or other mayonnaise based sauces – mix in a few drops for a unique flavor. Great when combined with citrus flavors.

Mayonnaise - awesome if you just add a few drops to your favorite mayonnaise. Try some on a turkey or ham sandwich or even a bacon/lettuce/tomato sandwich.

Salad dressings, Vinaigrettes, and BBQ sauces – add some to your favorite sauce or oil based dressing for a unique smoked flavor.

Hashbrowns and Homefries – sprinkle or toss your pan fried potatoes in our oil for a great smoked BBQ flavor. It's great on tortilla and potato chips too. Just sprinkle on the oil.

Western omelets and fried or scrambled eggs – use some to oil the pan when cooking eggs for a subtle smoked flavor.

Side dishes, soups, sauces, or dips – just add a few drops to any recipe. It’s perfect in egg salad, potato salad, and pimento cheese. Add some to your favorite recipe.

Season a cast iron skillet – coat your favorite pan for a flavorful no stick surface.

Demi Glace - Sauce demi glace is a rich beef based brown sauce. It is reduced slowly with equal parts of beef stock until it ½ its original volume. The result is a thick glaze that coats the back of a spoon. This intense mixture is the base used for many other sauces. Add our oil to really bring the flavor of the outdoors in.
